BayFest 5K & Fun Run
BayFest will host its 6th Annual 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 29th to kick off the beginning of the 2012 BayFest Music Festival.
Date and Time: September 29, 2012. 5K race will start at 8 AM. Fun Run will start at 9AM.
Location: Bienville Square in downtown Mobile.
Sponsored by: BayFest, Inc. www.bayfest.com.
Benefiting: BayFest Music Industry Education & Scholarship Programs
BayFest Tickets: Participants may order discount BayFest weekend passes for $40.
Distance: Certified 5K course (AL02007JD) in downtown Mobile; accurately measured 1 Mile Fun Run course. Fluids will be provided along the race course.
Registration: Pre-register by mail (entries should be postmarked by September 24, 2012), in person at McCoy Outdoor in Mobile or Running Wild in Fairhope until noon on September 27, or online (www.Active.com) until midnight September 27. Race day registration at Bienville Square from 6:30-7:30 AM

Awards: 5K - Top male and female Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, and Race Walkers. Top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75-99. Fun Run 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.
High school with the most participation will receive special recognition.
Shirts: Pre-registered by 9/10/12 participants will be guaranteed a t-shirt on race day.
Post-Race Party: Food, beverages, and LIVE music will be provided after the race. All registered participants will be eligible for door prize drawings - you must be present to win.
